Midwest Account Representative - Life Science

Are you a results-driven Sales Representative with a track record of success? At Omega Bio-tek, we’re looking for a competitive Sales Representative who thrives on challenges and is passionate about exceeding goals. As a Sales Rep, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building and expanding relationships with key accounts, and closing sales. This is a remote position and you must reside in the Mid West US region or be willing to relocate (Chicago, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, St Louis preferred). What you will do: 

• Develop, manage, and execute sales strategy, sales plans, to achieve quarterly and annual goals within the Midwest sales territory 
• Maintain and continuously expand customer base with emphasis on major accounts 
• Communicate feedback to management on trends in market 
• Communicate major customer information, revenue target progress, and product forecasts with accuracy and on a regular basis 
• Attend local and national tradeshows 
• Create customer pricing strategies 
• Deliver technical presentations on products to customers 

What you will need: 

• 3+ years experience selling genomic products or services
• Experience or knowledge of workflows with DNA & RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, microarrays and NGS 
• Must reside in the Midwest US region. Preferred location based in or around Chicago, Minneapolis, Indianapolis, St Louis
• BS Degree in life science area, or equivalent work experience 
• Ability to travel up to 25%

• MS or PhD in life science area preferred 
• Must demonstrate excellent organizational skills and ability to manage large amounts of technical data and documentation 
• Knowledge of liquid handling robotics a plus

Since its founding in 1998, Omega Bio-tek has been at the forefront of nucleic acid purification by offering products for clinical and basic research, biotechnology, and agricultural applications.
