Account Executive - Physical Therapy

About The Role

Hello Patient is seeking an Account Executive to build and accelerate our presence in the physical therapy market. You’ll own the full sales cycle -from prospecting and discovery through demo, negotiation, and close - while building relationships with PT and orthopedic organizations and the operators and executives who run them.

You’ll sell Mia, our AI-powered communication platform that automates high-volume patient conversations across phone, SMS, and chat. Mia helps healthcare organizations reduce administrative burden, improve patient access and experience, streamline referral management, and capture revenue that would otherwise be missed through billing and RCM workflows.

This is a high-ownership role for a true hunter who understands the PT market and knows how to build relationships, create a pipeline, and close new business. Existing relationships or a strong network within the physical therapy market are highly valued.

You’ll have the opportunity to help build our PT business from the ground up - developing new accounts, testing messaging, and shaping how Hello Patient wins in the market.

What You'll Do

Own the Full Sales Cycle

• Own the sales process from prospecting through close.

• Lead discovery, tailored demos, pricing discussions, negotiations, and contracting.

• Navigate multiple stakeholders across practice operations, billing/RCM, and executive leadership.

• Build trusted relationships with PT and orthopedic organizations and their decision-makers.

• Develop opportunities from initial conversations or pilots into broader, long-term partnerships.

Build the PT Market

• Develop and execute an outbound strategy focused on physical therapy and adjacent organizations.

• Leverage existing relationships and industry knowledge to open doors and accelerate pipeline.

• Identify and develop new accounts through outbound prospecting, referrals, conferences, and industry relationships.

• Establish Hello Patient as a trusted technology partner within the PT market.

Sell Business Impact

• Understand the operational and financial challenges facing PT organizations and connect them to measurable business outcomes.

• Identify opportunities around patient engagement, referral management, billing, and RCM.

• Help prospects understand how AI automation can reduce administrative workload, improve patient access, and drive revenue.

• Identify opportunities to expand from an initial use case into broader organizational adoption.

Help Build the Sales Motion

• Partner closely with Sales, Leadership, Product, and Operations to build a repeatable PT sales motion.

• Share customer feedback, competitive intelligence, and market insights to improve messaging and positioning.

• Help develop the playbook for selling into PT and adjacent specialty healthcare organizations.

• Operate with autonomy and adaptability in a rapidly evolving startup environment.

• Maintain accurate pipeline and forecasting and consistently work toward revenue goals.

What We're Looking For

Must Have

• 2+ years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of closing new business.

• Strong knowledge of the physical therapy market and the people, organizations, and buying dynamics within it.

• Existing relationships or a strong network within PT, orthopedic, or adjacent specialty healthcare markets.

• Demonstrated ability to independently generate pipeline through outbound prospecting and relationship-building.

• Strong hunter mentality - you know how to find opportunities, create conversations, and move deals forward.

• Experience managing a full sales cycle from prospecting through close.

• Experience selling into mid-market organizations; enterprise experience is a plus.

• Strong consultative discovery, presentation, and negotiation skills.

• High ownership, self-direction, and comfort operating in an early-stage startup.

Preferred

• Experience selling technology, software, healthcare technology, EMR, RCM, billing, patient engagement, or workflow solutions into PT organizations.

• Background as a physical therapist or other clinical professional who transitioned into sales.

• Experience selling into orthopedic, chiropractic, occupational therapy, or other adjacent specialty healthcare organizations.

• Experience with RCM, billing, referral management, or patient engagement solutions.

• Experience selling to multi-location or enterprise PT groups.

• Experience selling AI, automation, or workflow software.

Compensation

• On-Target Earnings (OTE): $250,000 - $300,000 (uncapped)

  • Base salary: $100,000 - $150,000

• Equity: Meaningful ownership in a fast-growing healthtech startup
