Account Executive | DMV Area

Overview

Lifeway is seeking a mission-driven Account Executive to grow our presence within an assigned church territory through consultative, relationship-first sales. In this role, you will serve as a trusted ministry partner to church leaders - assessing their discipleship needs and connecting them with Lifeway resources that support their congregations. You will own your territory from prospecting to close, collaborating with internal teams to deliver solutions that carry real ministry impact. This is a remotely based territory sales position. Qualified candididates must already be located in the assigned territory and available for regular local and overnight travel within the assigned territory.#LI-Remote

Responsibilities

• Lives out Lifeway’s mission and values, showing deep commitment to Kingdom work
• Develop and execute a territory business plan in partnership with sales leadership, driving new and existing church partnerships through cold calling, networking, and consultative selling
• Prospect and qualify new church accounts using inbound and outbound lead generation strategies to build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline
• Build deep, trust-based relationships with key church stakeholders and guide them toward Lifeway solutions that align with their ministry goals
• Manage the full sales cycle from initial outreach through close, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue targets
• Deliver timely and accurate monthly and quarterly revenue forecasts grounded in pipeline data and business understanding
• Maintain up-to-date records of all sales activity, contacts, and opportunities in Salesforce
• Monitor competitive and market trends, bringing insights back to sales leadership and peers to sharpen Lifeway's positioning
• Contribute feedback on sales materials and internal processes to help the broader team improve and grow

Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's degree, preferred

Master’s degree, not required

Doctorate in a related field, not required 

Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, required

• 3+ years of experience selling value-based products or services
• Proven cold calling skills with a track record of building rapport and initiating meaningful conversations
• Experience with inbound and outbound lead generation strategies
• Demonstrated success in outside or field sales — relationship building, deal closing, and exceeding targets
• Excellent oral and written communication skills across multiple leadership levels
• Consultative selling approach — ability to assess needs and present tailored solutions
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented with a track record of individual and team performance

Actively involved in an evangelical Christian church

Skills, Knowledge, & Experiences, preferred 

• Prior experience with a CRM platform, with strong preference for Salesforce
• Demonstrated success in new customer acquisition in a fast-paced, performance-based sales environment
• Familiarity with the local church landscape and ministry operations
• Heart for the local church and mission-driven sales contexts
