Summary
Manage the end-to-end sales cycle for enterprise-grade deals within the food and contract manufacturing sectors. Define and shape the company's enterprise sales motion and Ideal Customer Profile as an early team member.
Job Description
About The Role
As a Key Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle, from outbound discovery and demos to complex negotiations and closing. You will be a foundational member of our enterprise team, shaping how enterprise sales are built at Chef Robotics.
What You’ll Do:
- Manage multi-stakeholder buying processes within large-scale food manufacturing and contract manufacturing firms.
- Drive enterprise-grade deals with an average contract value (ACV) ranging from $100K to $1M.
- Own the end-to-end sales process, including discovery, demos, and proposals, with the support of a strong SDR and technical team.
- As an early member of the enterprise team, you will help define the Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) and the future of our sales motion.
Qualifications
- You have a proven track record of navigating complex organizations and closing deals that move the needle for the business.
- You thrive in high-stakes environments and are motivated by closing six-figure enterprise deals.
- You are excited by the prospect of deploying AI and robotics to solve critical labor challenges in the food industry.
- You enjoy the "inflection point" stage of a startup—where the product is proven, but there is still significant room to shape the direction of the company.
Why Join Us Now?
- We are in a sector that has been slow to adopt automation but is now moving fast.
- Join a team heading into a Series B with a pipeline that is already outgrowing our current capacity.
- This is a window where career-defining deals are made, and you will have a direct hand in scaling a leader in AI robotics.
The compensation package for this role includes a base salary, uncapped on-target earnings of $230K+, and equity.
Chef’s mission is to empower humans by accelerating the advent of intelligent machines in the world.
We believe physical AI (robots that can perceive, reason, and act in the real world) represents the next frontier of AI. While software AI has transformed how we work and communicate, the physical world still runs largely on human labor. That world represents 90% of global GDP, and it’s where AI’s impact will be most profound.
Nowhere is this more evident than in food. In 2023, there were over 1.1 million unfilled jobs in food preparation and service. These labor shortages are forcing food companies to leave millions of dollars in unmet demand on the table each year and driving more of the food supply chain offshore, creating significant risks for US food security.
Chef Robotics is building physical AI for food. Our AI-enabled robots handle the flexible, variable work of food assembly and preparation (work that has historically required human intervention). By deploying robots that learn from real production data across hundreds of ingredients and customers, we’ve built the world’s largest real-world food manipulation dataset and become the market leader in food robotics.
The result: food companies can meet demand, grow production, and keep their supply chains onshore, while their teams focus on the work that humans do best.
