Account Collector Representative at USPI

As an Account Collector Rep, you will play a critical role in managing patient accounts and ensuring timely reimbursement for services rendered. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in medical billing and collections, an emphasis on courtesy and customer service, demonstrate longevity in previous roles, and maintain a high level of accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

·        High School Diploma or GED required

·        2+  years of collections experience, with experience in healthcare insurance collections

·        Experience working with an Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) system preferred

·        Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

·        Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively

·        Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·        Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize urgent matters

Key Responsibilities

· 

·        Perform timely and effective follow-up on outstanding patient accounts

·        Communicate with patients, insurance companies, and third-party payers to resolve billing issues and inquiries

·        Review and analyze accounts receivable reports to identify trends and implement corrective actions

·        Utilize billing software and electronic medical record (EMR) systems to track payments and update patient records

·        Collaborate with the billing team and other departments to streamline processes and optimize revenue cycle performance
