Academic Instructor

Schedule:

Classes will generally be scheduled between 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM. Online instruction must occur outside the apprentices’ normal work hours of approximately 7:20 AM to 4:00 PM. Instructors will work according to assigned courses and academic sessions.

Summary:

The Academic Instructor will provide college-level instruction to NNSY apprentices through online synchronous or asynchronous classes and, when required, in-person instruction. The instructor will teach assigned coursework, evaluate student learning, and monitor academic progress.

Requirements:

• Must meet the qualification standards of the accredited Educational Institution and applicable accrediting organization.
• Must possess appropriate education and subject-matter expertise for assigned courses.
• Must be capable of providing online and in-person instruction when required.
• Must meet applicable NNSY security, privacy, and access requirements.

Duties:

• Deliver assigned courses using approved curriculum and Student Learning Outcomes.
• Monitor student attendance, participation, grades, and academic progress.
• Prepare and administer assignments, assessments, and final examinations.
• Identify academic concerns and coordinate student intervention when necessary.
