Job Details: Job Location: Marhofer Chevrolet - Stow, OH, Salary Range: $30.00 - $41.00Hourly, Job Purpose:
- As a top-tier master automotive technician at Ron Marhofer Automall Group, a Northeast Ohio dealership group, the purpose of this role is to deliver expert diagnostics and repairs across all vehicle systems while mentoring junior technicians and upholding factory repair standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead as Shop Leader, mentoring junior technicians to foster their professional growth and development.
- Diagnose and repair complex engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, electrical, HVAC, and diesel systems with precision and expertise.
- Perform thorough multi-point inspections to ensure comprehensive vehicle evaluations.
- Provide accurate labor estimates to facilitate transparent customer service.
- Complete precise documentation to maintain detailed records of repairs and diagnostics.
- Ensure all repairs meet factory specifications to uphold the highest quality standards.
Qualifications: Required Education:
- High school diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
- Associate degree or completion of accredited Automotive Technology program
- Ongoing manufacturer-specific and factory training certifications
Required Experience:
- Minimum 5 years professional automotive repair experience
- ASE Certification and Manufacturer Certification
- Proven ability to diagnose and repair engine, transmission, suspension, brakes, and electrical systems
Preferred Experience:
- Dealership-level experience leading a shop or mentoring technicians
- Advanced diesel engine repair experience
- Multi-brand manufacturer certifications across domestic and import vehicles
Required Skills and Abilities:
- Maintain ASE certifications A1-A9 (Engine, Transmission, Drive Train, Suspension, Brakes, Electrical, HVAC, Engine Performance, Light Vehicle Diesel Engines)
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- Ability to operate manual/automatic vehicles
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills

- Strong teamwork orientation to support fellow technicians and service advisors in a fast-paced environment
