3rd Shift Unarmed Security Guard - (PT)

Description

The Unarmed Security Guard is responsible for keeping the Nook Sports complex safe and secured during daily operating hours and events as well as greeting our guests in and around the Sports Complex. The main duties of this position include large event crowd control, parking lot traffic flow, and bag checks. The starting pay rate for this position is $16/hour. A candidate with an abundance of experience will be subject to a higher starting pay rate.

SCHEDULE: This applicant will be subject to 3rd Shift at the following time: 10pm-6am. This position will require a minimum of two shifts per week, with the potential for additional shifts as business needs and scheduling opportunities arise.

Essential Job Functions

• Assist with bag checks upon guests entering the complex
• Greet customers that are entering the complex
• Assist and direct guests to areas they need to be
• Maintain a presence of order during and between events
• Monitor event areas for suspicious activity
• Provide safe and friendly atmosphere in and around complex
• Restrict and allow access to entries and exits of complex
• All other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid Driver’s License with good driving record
• Dependable transportation to and from work
• Language skills: Fluent knowledge of the English language; including the ability to read and interpret written information and speak and understand verbal communication
• Ability to fulfill the physical requirements of the position with any reasonable accommodations as necessary
• Availability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays as needed
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Experience working in a security or law enforcement role
• CPR/First Aid Certified
• Previous Security experience a plus
• Highly dependable with a history of consistent attendance and punctuality
