2027 Summer Internship - Marketing, HarperChristian Resources (Nashville, TN Hybrid)

Overview

Ever wondered what it's like to work in publishing? HarperChristian Resources, the Bible studies division of HarperCollins Christian Publishing, is looking for a motivated, curious, and detail-oriented Marketing Intern to join our team this summer. You'll get real, hands-on experience helping bring life-changing Bible studies to churches and everyday people, all while building skills in social media, content creation, and marketing strategy. Responsibilities

Marketing Support

• Help put together a marketing campaign plan aimed at reaching 18–25-year-olds with our Bible study content.
• Write and edit compelling content like book hooks, positioning statements, and talking points for our sales team.
• Help design and proofread marketing plans to make sure everything looks great and stays on-brand.
• Assist with influencer and church mailings for our newest book launches and brand campaigns.
• Sit in on author calls and help brainstorm marketing ideas and creative for upcoming releases.

Content Creation & Social Media

• Upload videos and trailers from our video Bible studies to YouTube, Instagram, and TikTok.
• Brainstorm and test new content ideas across TikTok, YouTube, Instagram, and LinkedIn.
• Help write emails and blog posts for our marketing channels.
• Upload lifestyle photos to Amazon, our website, social media, and other sales channels.

Market Research and Analysis

• Dig into market research to spot trends, opportunities, and how to better understand our audience.
• Pull and review trend reports, then share your takeaways to help shape our marketing strategy.
• Track how our marketing campaigns are performing and report back on what's working.

Team & Project Support

• Work closely with the marketing team to help campaigns run smoothly from start to finish.
• Stay organized and manage multiple projects with attention to detail and deadlines.

Qualifications

• Candidates who are available to work in a full-time capacity in 2027 or 2028 are eligible for this internship; open to rising seniors, recent graduates, master’s students, or entry level candidates with up to 1 year of work experience. 
• Candidates must be available to work 28 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from June 7 to August 12, 2027. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are mandatory in-office days at our Nashville headquarters, while Mondays and Thursdays are remote workdays. Compensation for this internship is $18 per hour. 
• Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States.

• Ideal candidates are either currently enrolled in or have recently graduated from an undergraduate or master’s program.
• A passion for books is highly valued! 
• College junior, senior or recent graduate majoring in business, communications, marketing, PR, or related fields
• Church or ministry experience a plus.
• Solid writing and editing skills — you notice the little things.
• Proficiency with design tools like Canva or Adobe Creative Suite is a plus.
• You're organized and good at managing your time.
• You can look at data and pull out what actually matters.
• Being active on social media and aware of trends a plus.
