2027 Summer Internship - Financial Advisor - New Jersey

Your role

Interested in working in finance, specifically as a financial advisor, but not sure where to start? Do you want to work for a firm with a truly global footprint that consistently ranks among the world’s top financial institutions?

We’re looking for ambitious students to join our 2027 Summer Internship Program within our UBS Wealth Advice Center business.

You’ll get to:
• learn fundamentals of customer service, financial products, financial markets, financial planning, investment strategies, banking solutions, consultative selling, and wealth management solutions
• shadow experienced financial advisors across various UBS Wealth Advice Center teams, participate in real world projects and get first-hand experience strategizing on key business initiatives
• attend educational events led by senior leaders that provide extensive exposure and insight into the business
• study and complete the FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam and/or Series 66 exam

Your team

You’ll be working in the UBS Wealth Advice Center, a branch of UBS Financial Services Inc. committed to providing world-class personalized advice and guidance to emerging affluent clients, enhanced by powerful financial technology.

With main hubs in Weehawken, NJ, Dallas, TX and Charlotte NC, the UBS Wealth Advice Center currently serves over 200,000 clients. Our clients are served remotely (phone) by a team of more than 500 professionals, including both financial advisors and client service associates, who work individually with clients to understand their needs and assist them in achieving their goals.

Your expertise

Your expertise :
We’re looking for a candidate who:

• will graduate with a bachelor's degree between December 2027 and June 2028 and has a minimum cumulative 3.2 GPA
• will take and pass the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) exam before starting the internship (preferred, not required)
• is interested in financial advising, wealth management, financial markets, and relationship building
• has values that align with ours: hard-working, trustworthy, dedicated and collaborative
• is a strategic thinker with strong communication skills
• is motivated to work in a business with high demands and tight deadlines
• can evidence how experimental and responsible use of AI can improve outcomes and efficiency

We’re looking for someone who’s curious and wants to thrive in a business that never stops moving. We welcome all majors, but it’s important to have an interest in the financial industry. Salary information

The indicative gross base salary for this role is USD 33.65 /hour.

During your 10-week paid internship, you’ll work with our experts and learn about the industry, our clients and our firm.

You’ll be right at the heart of our business, learning from your colleagues, taking part in day-to-day operations. You'll be given mentors along the way and will have the chance to get to know some of the most senior members of our teams. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to develop new skills and make contacts along the way. If you like challenges, enjoy learning and want to work where no two days are the same, this program is for you.

If you have a successful internship, you may get an offer to return for our full-time Financial Advisor Development Program (in Weehawken, NJ; Charlotte, NC; Phoenix, AZ; or Dallas, TX) after you’ve completed your studies.
