2027 Summer Internship

SpiderRock Platform Services, LLC is a technology provider that creates and deploys some of the most innovative routing techniques, trading workflows, and risk management solutions commercially available to serve large asset managers, proprietary trading firms, and trading desks around the world in equities, futures, and options. Our team of fun and highly talented development team collaborates closely with our client services team to continue to create innovative solutions and support our highly sophisticated commercial clientele. Our Chicago office is located in the financial district within a few blocks from the Chicago Board Options Exchange, the Chicago Board of Trade and the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. We are looking for 2027 Summer Interns that will learn  and work on projects that they will see deployed during their internship. The following are possible summer internship roles:

• Software Engineer Intern

• Data Analyst Intern

• Marketing Intern

• QA Intern

• DevOps Intern

• IT/Network Intern

• Client Support Analyst Intern

• People Operations/Operations Intern

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Ten (10) weeks in a fast-paced, dynamic, and collaborative work environment.

• Assigned projects where you will learn, collaborate with different teams, and build your professional emotional intelligence skills.

• Collaborate with lead developers, client service analyst, major stakeholders, and business operations.

• Participate in daily meetings and learn project methodology concepts and implementation.

• Attend internal SpiderVersity learning sessions that cover financial markets, programming, products, business areas, and professional/EQ.

• Go on industry field trips (CBOE, Federal Reserve).

• Assigned a mentor and buddy to support your success and development.

WHAT SPIDERROCK IS LOOKING FOR

• A current college student working toward a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Math, Business or equivalent.

• Exhibits strong problem solving instincts. 

• Understanding of computer languages is a plus (i.e. C#, Python, and SQL).

• Detailed and diligent and high propensity to learn and improve.

• Financial markets knowledge a plus.

• Strong work ethic, great communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work well in a team setting and work independently.

• Loves a fast-paced, high-performing technology environment.

• Professional and motivated attitude.
