2027 Summer Internship – Global Wealth Management, Internal Sales, US 

Internship positions are located in Austin, TX.  

You are eligible to apply if you:  

• Are currently pursuing an undergraduate degree 

• Are able to begin full-time employment at a PIMCO office between January 2028 – August 2028 

• Are enrolled at a university during the Fall 2027 semester (August 2027 – December 2027) 

• Have a minimum 3.2 cumulative collegiate grade point average on a 4.0 scale (or the equivalent) at an accredited 4-year college or university 

• Are business proficient in English 

You will excel as a Global Wealth Management, Internal Sales Summer Analyst if you: 

• Have a strong interest in the financial markets, macroeconomics, and investment finance 

• Are able to articulate ideas/strategies clearly, both verbally and in writing 

• Have an interest in a client-facing career within finance and view relationship building as a key part of your life 

• Are friendly and genuinely enjoy working in a team environment, yet ready to run with projects independently 

• Have excellent people skills: you love to pay attention to people, are engaging, and almost never run out of relevant things to discuss 

• Are inquisitive, have a natural thirst for knowledge, and believe that, given enough time and resources, you can achieve any goal 

• Multitask efficiently and can handle several projects while delivering completed work within expected timelines 

• Show a demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Excel 

• Demonstrate curiosity and experience in using new emerging technologies and AI tools in your work or school projects to solve problems and drive better outcomes 

See yourself as a Global Wealth Management, Internal Sales Summer Analyst: 
As an Internal Sales summer intern within U.S. Global Wealth Management at PIMCO, you will serve as a dynamic resource for the sales team while gaining meaningful exposure to the firm’s process, products, and culture. Through project work focused on sales skills, portfolio construction, market research, and resource navigation, you will build a strong foundation for understanding how PIMCO partners with financial advisor clients. 

The internship provides excellent development and training to prepare for a career as an Internal Account Analyst at PIMCO – a role that includes obtaining FINRA licenses and building and maintaining relationships with Financial Advisor clients. 

While our eligibility requirements are not flexible, we encourage you to apply even if you do not possess 100% of the desired skills outlined above. 

The PIMCO Internship Experience:  

• The PIMCO Internship is a 10-week program that runs from early June to mid-August, with the expectation that you will be available for the full duration of the program 

• During Week 1, you will participate in PIMCO Fundamentals Training, providing you with the skills, knowledge, and relationships that will prepare you for success 

• Alongside your colleagues, participate in PIMCO's Global Month of Volunteering, developed to heighten the impact of our employees' worldwide volunteer efforts  

• Join us for a variety of cross-divisional education, networking & social events! 

• Your supervisor, peer mentor, senior leaders, and team will offer guidance and mentorship throughout the summer 

• You will gain hands-on experience with AI-powered tools from day one, with training and resources that help build future-ready skills and make an impact from the start 

• You will receive feedback at mid- and end-of-summer as part of a formal review process to keep you on the path to meeting your summer goals

What to expect during the interview process:  

• After we receive your application, we will conduct an initial review of your resume  

• If you are selected to move forward, you will take a cognitive assessment and have the opportunity to showcase your interests, skills, and personality by completing a one-way video interview  

• Once you complete the assessment and one-way video interview, you will have a final round of live interviews via video conference. These interviews typically include both behavioral and technical questions

PIMCO follows a total compensation approach when rewarding employees which includes a base salary and a discretionary bonus. Base salary is the fixed component of compensation that is determined by core job responsibilities, relevant experience, internal level, and market factors. The discretionary bonus is used to award performance and therefore is determined by company, business, team, and individual performance.

Hourly Rate: $ 43.26
