KKR's 2027 Summer Analyst Program is an opportunity for you to join a leading global investment firm, during your undergraduate career.

We are recruiting for Summer Analysts for KKR's Insurance business in our New York office within our Risk business, working jointly on the Quantitative Asset Liability Management (QALM) and Liquidity Risk teams. The QALM team focuses on daily capital markets hedging using primarily equity and interest rate options, as well as weekly aggregate level reporting for the firm’s net fixed income risk metrics. The Liquidity Risk team tests the impact of various market stresses on our liquidity position and their associated impact to capital in addition to reporting both our downside risk buffer level setting and funding adequacy. This is an exciting opportunity to be one of the architects of the Beacon risk system, the firm’s Python-based risk management environment. An ideal candidate will combine a strong background in quantitative analytics with some prior understanding of investments, derivatives, and insurance products. Summer Analysts will gain hands-on exposure to many different areas of Risk as well as Investments, Actuarial and Finance across KKR’s insurance platform. Following the conclusion of the internship, 2028 full-time offers may be extended to exceptional performers.

Responsibilities:

• Assist QALM team on an impactful analytics project, including but not limited to producing reports for stakeholders to monitor and review key ALM risk matrix, designing and implementing enhancements to ALM analytics and tools etc.
• Assist QALM team on an impactful hedging project, including but not limited to supporting the onboarding of new individual and institutional initiatives, enhancing and extending the hedging code on new hedging requirements
• Assist the Liquidity Risk team on an impactful liquidity project, including but not limited to enhancing stress testing initiatives, monitoring buffer funding levels, designing and implementing enhancements to existing code, applications, data products, etc.
• Gain familiarity of KKR’s proprietary Python-based risk ecosystem, which includes KKR Insurance’s highly effective hedging program, scenario generation and automated risk reporting
• Gain familiarity of ALM reporting and monitor asset, liability and derivatives risk positions relative to management objectives and policy limits
• Perform analysis on asset positioning with respect to liquidity objectives
• Present results of projects in the Liquidity, Hedging Strategies and ALM Working Group meetings, as well as the All Risk meeting.

Qualifications:

• Anticipated graduation date from an undergraduate program in December 2027 - June 2028
• Area of study in quantitative discipline such as math, statistics, computer science or related technical fields
• Strong analytic, programming and database skills
• Experience with Python is preferred, SQL and Excel is a plus
• Understanding of various asset classes, such as fixed income, equities, credit, foreign exchange, derivatives and risk management concepts
• Comfort using AI tools to improve productivity and quality of work
• Curiosity about and openness to adopting emerging AI technologies in day-to-day workflows
• Ability to critically evaluate AI-generated outputs for accuracy and relevance
• Strong project management, verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with people of varying backgrounds
• Strong sense of business ethics
• Ability to work independently and excel in a dynamic, exciting, and fast-paced environment

This is the expected annual base salary range for this New York-based position. Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, and qualification for the role. Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus, based on factors such as individual and team performance.Base Salary Range$100,000—$110,000 USD
