2027 Summer Analyst, Construction (Related Ross)

Responsibilities

The Summer Analyst will be responsible for providing necessary insight and input on construction schedule, cost and complexity.  The construction team works alongside the project’s in-house design, financial and development management team to manage costs, explore building system alternatives, coordinate zoning and permits, and oversee the project’s construction bid and contract process.  

• Document Control: Processing Requests for Information (RFIs), reviewing and processing submittals, organizing closeout documentation, and keeping the Contract Documents up to date. 
• Reporting: Maintaining daily logs, taking job site photos, and updating tracking logs. 
• Cost Management: Assisting in reviewing change orders from Trade Contractors, estimating, and forecasting potential costs to the project. 
• Meeting Management: Attending all project meetings and taking minutes to be distributed, such as Trade Contractor meetings, safety meetings, pre-construction meetings, OAC meetings, etc. 
• Logistics and Field Support: Working closely with field staff on needs in the field and understanding what to prepare for in the schedule to be ready with that scope of work. Understanding the scope for each Trade Contractor to ensure all required work is completed and verifying that materials delivered are as approved in the submittal via a first delivery inspection. Tracking and notifying Trade Contractors of punch list, rolling completion list, or observation-type items. Assisting with pre-installation checklists to ensure all scope is completed prior to closing up spaces where access will no longer be 

Qualifications

Related Ross’s summer analyst program intends to train and evaluate the next generation of leaders. To be considered for the 2027 Summer Analyst program, applicants must meet the following criteria: 

• Current undergraduate sophomore or junior with a target graduation date between December 2027-May 2029 
• A strong passion for real estate development. 
• Actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in civil, mechanical, or electrical engineering, construction management, and other related fields. 
• Exhibits a strong understanding of technical skills and job specific knowledge. 
• Demonstrates clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing. 
• Self-starter, demonstrates a proactive approach to tasks and challenges. 
• Detail-oriented. 
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and adapt to new challenged in a dynamic environment. 
• Resume must include expected graduation month/year.

Program Overview: 

Our formal 9 to 10-week internship programs provide students with the opportunity to work on critical projects integral to our team's success.
