Environmental, Health & Safety (EH&S) interns are provided with tasks that are both technically challenging and educationally stimulating. This is the opportunity to kick start your career and gain EH&S work experience!
Program Highlights
- Duration: A minimum of 8 weeks during Summer 2027.
- Location: The position is on-site and you may be placed in any of the following locations:
- Connecticut: Groton, New London, North Stonington
- Rhode Island: North Kingstown
- Relocation Assistance: This internship is not eligible for a housing stipend or relocation assistance.

Qualifications
Required:
- Enrolled full-time at a College or University
- Completed at least Freshman year by Summer 2027
- Pursing a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.
- Willing and able to work 40 hours per week for at least 8 consecutive weeks between May 2027 to September 2027
Preferred:
- Familiarity with environmental regulations.
- Strong interest in how environmental regulations apply in the shipbuilding environment.
- Strong interest in a shipyard trade or construction environment.
Skills
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively work both independently and as part of a team
- Ability to learn new skills and apply them
- Ability to solve problems in a constructive manner
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, Office)
