In addition to food preparation, this role involves final plate presentation, including garnishing cooked items and preparing appropriate garnishes for all hot menu items. - Ensure every dish meets our stringent standards for excellence.
- Keep our ingredients fresh by diligently rotating stock.
- Approach tasks with focus and determination.
- Adhere strictly to CAI's policies and procedures for a well-run operation.
- Fulfill all of the assignments given to you.
- Verify that prepared food meets requirements for quality and quantity.
- Rotate stock to maintain freshness standards (FIFO – First In, First Out).
Requirements
- Friendly and approachable demeanor with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to engage with guests and create a positive, memorable experience.
- A minimum of 2 year of experience in kitchen preparation and cooking.
- At least 6 months of experience in a similar capacity.
- Availability to work various shifts, weekends, holidays, and evenings as needed.
- Excellent communication skills to interact clearly with managers, and kitchen and dining area team members.
- Be able to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift to 40 pounds.
- Be able to work in a standing position for long periods.
