The Worcester Telegram & Gazette/telegram.com, part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, is seeking a Reporting Intern.

The Telegram & Gazette covers Worcester County, including local news, sports and things to do. Newsroom interns are expected to contribute editorially, to find story ideas and explore the community.  
We’re seeking students who are looking for a professional-level experience and have the initiative, skills and judgment to excel.
The program will include one-on-one coaching and mentoring, but students are expected to handle stories independently and effectively in a deadline-driven environment.
This role could include day and nighttime hours in the newsroom depending on the newsroom’s needs and your schedule.

Responsibilities:

Newsroom interns will work with the news editors and reporters to learn and sharpen basic and advanced journalism skills, handling reporting, writing, editing, research, video production and visual journalism.
Interns will participate in news meetings, where they’ll learn about how news developments take shape.

Requirements:
Degree-seeking student currently enrolled at Clark University. 
Well organized, detail-oriented, adaptable and flexible.
Excellent communication skills.
This role requires a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and the minimum liability insurance required by state law.
