Opportunity:
Propel Schools is seeking an Assistant Middle School Track Coach for the 26-27 season starting this spring:
- Propel Braddock Hills Middle School
- Propel East
- Propel Hazelwood
- Propel Montour Middle School
- Propel Homestead
Successful candidates will have:
- Prior high school, middle school, and/or youth track coaching experience
- Preferred candidates will have student-athlete experience on the high school and/or intercollegiate level, prior middle school coaching experience, & USATF certification
- Responsibility for assembling coaching staff
- Must possess knowledge of rules, regulations, strategies, and techniques of the sport
- Responsibility for supporting the Middle School's track program with the head coach, athletic director and other coaching staff
- High level of personal organization and planning
- Strong communication and relationship building skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
- A commitment to the Propel Habits
Season Information:
- The 2026-2027 Middle School Track Season is scheduled to begin in and is anticipated to begin in April and conclude in May, although the season may end earlier/later depending on if the team participates in postseason.
- This position includes a seasonal stipend of $1,000. Please note that the stipend will be prorated for coaches who begin after the official start of the season.

- Up-to-date TB Test
- Act 34 Criminal Clearance
- Act 114 FBI Clearance
- Act 151 Child Abuse Clearance
- Mandated Reporter Training

Today, that dream is a reality. The first school opened in 2003 with 180 children, operating out of a small hospital basement. In the 2017-18 school year, approximately 4,000 K-12 scholars attended our 13 schools in Homestead, Hazelwood, McKeesport, Montour, Munhall, Turtle Creek, Braddock Hills, Northside, and Pitcairn.
