Best Surveys for Amazon Gift Cards: 13 Survey Platforms with Gift Card Rewards

Branded Surveys is a basic affair with fairly basic features. Like many of the platforms on this list, it has a web version and also app versions for mobile devices (for both iOS and Android devices).

The platform landed at the top of our list due to users’ favorable reviews of it. We recommend it particularly to those looking for a straightforward, survey-focused platform.

Branded Surveys offers Amazon gift card rewards and also cash redemption options (via PayPal and bank transfers) so that you can redeem your rewards as cash to spend with Amazon or any other retailer that takes your fancy.

Some important advantages of Branded Surveys are that it gives you a signup bonus of $1 to kickstart your earnings, and it has a fairly low $5 threshold for redeeming rewards—whereas other platforms sometimes expect you to accumulate $10–$15 before you can cash out.

These features mean it’s easier for you to get your Amazon gift card faster. In our case, it only took about 3 hours.

MyPoints is a Prodege platform that was founded in 1996, so it’s one of the most established platforms on our list.

Like its popular sister apps, Swagbucks and InboxDollars, MyPoints is widely discussed by users online. At the moment, most people seem to prefer MyPoints over the other two, claiming it offers better earnings.

Like the other Prodege platforms on our list, MyPoints has both a web version and mobile app versions for Android and iOS devices, and it also features a similar variety of ways to earn (e.g., games, online searches, and offers) and redemption options, including Amazon gift cards.

However, MyPoints also shares the disadvantage that it will likely require you to reach a high threshold for your first redemption (as Prodege platforms often require a balance of $15 before you can withdraw). Although the $2 signup bonus gives you a boost to help you start earning, it may still take a while to get your sweaty little hands on that first gift card.

After you cash out the first time, you may then be able to access lower denomination redemption options, according to reports online. However, this didn’t happen in our case.

Freecash is a microtasking or GPT platform that offers opportunities to get paid for taking surveys as well as for testing games and other types of apps.

Its quick payout and decent $5 signup bonus caught our attention during our research. What’s more, you have the chance to earn an additional $500 if you’re one of the first to earn $5,000 in a given month on Freecash.

You can use Freecash by downloading the app for Android devices, or you can use the normal website. Unfortunately, there’s no iOS app available.

Annoyingly, the minimum withdrawal threshold varies a lot on Freecash, so it’s hard to predict how long your first payment is likely to take. However, among the redemption options, you’ll find the usual gift cards from Amazon plus a few other popular retailers (e.g., Apple and Google Play). There are also cash withdrawal options (via PayPal and bank transfers).

Survey Junkie is another platform that focuses on offering surveys as a way to earn rewards. However, it also gives you some interesting ways to harvest points automatically as you surf the web (which you can do by opting in via the Survey Junkie app or by downloading Survey Junkie’s browser extension and keeping it active as you browse online). This means it doubles up as a passive earning app.

In addition, there’s a chance you may be invited to join focus groups through Survey Junkie after you’ve used the platform for a while. Unfortunately, we didn’t get this opportunity, although we spent a few hours taking surveys on Survey Junkie, so it may take a bit of time investment to unlock that particular feature.

Like Branded Surveys, Survey Junkie has a website and apps for both iOS and Android mobile devices. It also has a fairly low redemption threshold of $5 and a signup bonus to jumpstart your earnings—albeit a slightly less generous amount at $0.85. As such, you should be able to redeem your rewards quite fast (as was the case for us, since it took us just a few hours to earn $5).

Once you reach the $5 mark, you can cash out with gift cards from Amazon or other retailers as well as via cash redemption options (i.e., PayPal, bank transfers, or virtual prepaid Visa cards).

Swagbucks is more elaborate than the other platforms we’ve seen so far. Available as a website for your desktop as well as in mobile app form (for Android or iOS devices), it not only features surveys but also other ways to earn.

Tasks you can try on Swagbucks include:

• Games
• Online searches with the Swagbucks search engine
• Offers and deals
• Daily Polls
• Receipt-scanning
• Looking for “Swag Codes” online

You can redeem your Swagbucks rewards in the form of gift cards for Amazon and many other retailers like Walmart, Target, and Starbucks. Alternatively, there are cash redemption options (i.e., PayPal and prepaid debit cards).

If you want a variety of ways to earn besides surveys, Swagbucks may be a good platform to try. When we used it, we also got a nice signup bonus of $2.50, although there are some conflicting reports about the bonuses Swagbucks offers, so these may vary depending on when you sign up.

One important downside of this platform is that the redemption threshold for your first withdrawal is relatively high at $15 the first time you cash out. This high bar makes it more difficult to earn enough points (or “SB”) to redeem your first gift card or cash rewards. However, after the first redemption, the threshold may be lower for subsequent withdrawals (as low as $1).

InboxDollars is very similar to Swagbucks and is run by the same company—namely, Prodege.

Like Swagbucks, it has a web version for your laptop or PC and apps (Android or iOS) for your mobile devices. It also features the same types of tasks (e.g., games, offers, and online searches) and redemption options, including Amazon gift cards.

InboxDollars gives you a generous signup bonus of $5 when you start using the site. However, it has the same problem as Swagbucks in terms of the high $15 threshold for your first redemption (although this threshold goes down to $10 for subsequent cashouts). This means you could have to wait longer to get your Amazon gift card.

With that said, when we used this platform, we got our first payment relatively fast (within about 3–4 hours), and this was after we wasted quite a bit of time on tasks like games and shopping to earn cash back rewards. However, if you focus more on surveys, you might be able to reach the $15 mark faster, since these tend to be more lucrative than other types of tasks.

Like Branded Surveys and Survey Junkie, LifePoints focuses mainly just on surveys with only a few other ways to earn, including quick polls, prize draws, and giveaways. And, like all of the platforms we’ve seen so far, it has a web version and apps for both iOS and Android devices.

LifePoints may not be the most varied platform we’ve tried. However, it was among the more lucrative online survey opportunities we tried.

In terms of redemption methods, it offers the usual gift card options (including Amazon cards) plus cash withdrawals (via PayPal and Venmo).

LifePoints has a fairly low redemption threshold of $5, and it has a small signup bonus that is worth only around $0.13–$0.14. Although the signup bonus doesn’t amount to much, you should still be able to redeem fairly fast (as this only took us 3–4 hours).

Once again, the Opinion Outpost platform is more of a survey-focused affair than a general microtasking site. It doesn’t feature quick polls, games, offers, or other tasks that you often find on these types of apps and websites.

If you’re ok with this lack of variety, Opinion Outpost is a reasonable site to sign up for. Thanks to the low redemption threshold of $5 and the signup bonus of $0.50, you should be able to cash out within a few hours and summon your Amazon gift card, which should also reach you relatively fast.

If you want other redemption options besides Amazon gift cards, you can also get PayPal cash or gift cards from other big retailers like Target, Macy’s, and Uber.

One downside of Opinion Outpost is that it’s a bit less versatile than many other platforms on this list, since it’s only available as a web version, with no apps specifically for iOS or Android mobile devices.

Toluna Influencers, formerly known as just Toluna, has been around since 2000, which makes it one of the most established platforms on our list. It’s another platform that focuses mostly on surveys, although there are a few other tasks you can complete to earn rewards (e.g., games and daily polls).

You can take Toluna Influencers surveys via mobile apps (for Android and iOS devices) or the web-based version for PCs and laptops. The platform is also available in many different countries, so it’s a good option if you want something you can use even while you’re traveling abroad.

However, because of the relatively high redemption threshold of $10 coupled with an unimpressive signup bonus that works out at around $0.14–$0.17, you may need to spend a while on surveys to get your Amazon gift card.

When you do finally hit that $10 goal, the platform allows you to redeem rewards via gift cards for Amazon as well as other favorites like Walmart and Target. If you want cash rewards, you can also get these via PayPal.

When we used Toluna Influencers, it took us about 7 hours to reach the $10 threshold. We then had to wait a couple of weeks to receive our gift card reward, which is apparently normal, as the site says you should allow up to 3 weeks for your rewards to come through. As such, this isn’t the best survey site to use if you are in a hurry to get paid.

Ipsos iSay is a survey platform including apps for iOS and Android devices as well as a web version for laptops and PCs. It’s owned by Ipsos, a market research company founded in France in 1975.

This survey platform is another simple one that has few earning opportunities besides surveys. However, notably, it does offer weekly contests you can enter to win gift cards for Amazon and other retailers. When we tested the site, we joined two contests to win a $200 Amazon gift card (although we didn’t get lucky).

In theory, Ipsos iSay also has opportunities for product testing, but you have to wait for them to invite you to take part in those tests. Sadly, we didn’t get invited for any such opportunities when we tried out the site ourselves.

Although, unlike many of our favorite platforms, Ipsos iSay doesn’t offer a signup bonus, it has an achievable redemption threshold of $5. As such, it shouldn’t take you too long to reach that cashout and claim your Amazon gift card. We were able to redeem after about 3 hours, which we did via a Starbucks card.

As usual, there are also other cards on offer from the likes of Walmart, Target, Apple, and other retailers—plus PayPal redemption.

PrizeRebel is more of a general microtasking platform than a pure survey platform. As usual, surveys are among the top ways to earn, but there are also offers, videos, raffles, and a few other paid tasks.

On top of that, there are opportunities to earn gift cards from Amazon and other retailers by entering raffle tickets, which you can buy with points or earn by completing certain tasks.

The minimum redemption threshold on PrizeRebel may vary. The website says you must have earned at least $5 worth of rewards to cash out with an Amazon voucher, but we saw gift cards in smaller denominations when we tested the platform (although these weren’t for Amazon), so the gift cards on offer may vary. 1

Aside from Amazon gift cards, PrizeRebel has some other interesting redemption options, including Venmo and crypto.

One disadvantage of PrizeRebel is that, unlike many platforms on this list, it has no apps for mobile devices—only a site you can access from web browsers. Another disadvantage is the uncomfortably low earning potential, although you may find that you make more if you focus just on surveys (whereas we wasted a lot of time on offers that didn’t work when we tested the platform).

Games are the main attraction on this Scrambly, but you can also earn with offers, promo codes, friend referrals, and surveys. As you complete tasks, you earn Coins, which you can then exchange for gift cards or cash.

Scrambly surveys are a bit odd in that they’re only available once you’ve completed your profile and made your first payout. This means you’ll have to play some games or complete other tasks before you can crack on with earning through surveys.

The great thing about Scrambly is its very low $1 minimum threshold for redemptions. With this low limit, you shouldn’t need too long to collect enough Coins to redeem your gaming rewards via gift cards (or cash payment methods, which include PayPal, Visa prepaid cards, and other redemption options).

Scrambly has a website and also a mobile app for Android users, although there’s no app for iOS users.

eSurveyBox is the last platform on our list. Unlike Freecash, Scrambly, and many other platforms on our list, it has no app, so you can only use it via web browsers.

eSurveyBox is focused predominantly on surveys, although you may also find offers you can use to earn (e.g., signing up for new services). However, you won’t find games, videos, receipt-scanning, or many of the other paid tasks that we’ve seen on Scrambly, Freecash, and some other platforms from this list.

When you take a survey or complete another task, you earn points, which are worth about a penny each. You must collect a minimum of 5,000 eSurveyBox Points to redeem, so that’s equivalent to a $5 minimum redemption threshold, which is comparatively easy to reach (unlike with some other platforms that require you to earn $10 or more before you can redeem).

You can redeem your points as an Amazon gift card on one of the many other gift cards on offer (as well as via PayPal if you prefer cash).

Before you attempt to earn gift cards for Amazon or other retailers by taking surveys, it’s important to be aware of potential pitfalls you might encounter while using sites and apps offering these kinds of rewards.

The following tips will help you to spend your time more efficiently, manage your expectations, and stay safe while taking online surveys.

• Answer questions honestly: Many platforms use quality checks to ensure that survey participants give genuine answers. If they find inconsistencies or inaccuracies in your answers, you could get disqualified from surveys and ultimately banned from platforms.
• Don’t expect big payouts: In our experience using survey platforms, microtasking platforms, and similar websites or apps, users can expect to earn just a few dollars an hour with the highest-paying surveys and other tasks on offer.
• Watch out for platforms that disqualify you from surveys: If you take enough surveys, you will inevitably get disqualified from a good number of them. It’s hard to gauge how often this will happen until you start using an app or website, as it will depend on your demographic profile as well as other factors. However, if you find that certain platforms kick you out more often, it might be worth switching to a different site or app.
• Monitor what happens when you get disqualified from surveys: Some survey platforms will waste a lot of your time before they disqualify you, whereas others are less likely to do this. Also, many platforms will give you a small reward (usually around 0.5–2 cents) for attempting a survey, even if you don’t qualify to complete it. Take these kinds of things into account when you’re choosing which platforms to focus on.
