The Opportunity

Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University-Worldwide, College of Aviation, Applied Aerospace Science, invites applications for a tenure track position at the rank of Assistant Professor in the aerospace field. Experience with commercial and/or military space operations and domain specific STEM principles is desired. This full-time, 10-month faculty position will involve teaching primarily in the space discipline. Classes will be taught primarily online. As an academic appointment with faculty rank, this position includes teaching, scholarship, and university service as the principal responsibilities. 

Candidates must have an earned doctorate degree, as well as academic and professional/scholarly experience in the commercial space industry. A strong background in research methodologies and publications, a broad insight into the interdisciplinary nature of aviation/aerospace and related activities, and a strong interest in developing collaborative research projects in the specified fields is desired. Candidates should have demonstrated experience in both operations and space-related STEM fields. Specifically, the candidate should have expertise in the broad context of the commercial space industry, along with detailed understanding of the space domain, as well as scientific and engineering operational principles related to executing space missions.

Qualifications
