Job Description:
This position is responsible for evaluation, compiling and processing of billing data largely utilizing automation tools (i.e. Excel macros, etc) to assist with creation, reviewing, and submitting electronic files. The specialist is responsible for bulk claims processing as well as maintaining departmental database. Projects span across multiple RCM functions. Due to this vast project scope, reporting & communication must be clear, concise, and consistent as data/updates will be shared amongst many stakeholders. High level of quality is needed in this position due to the volume of claims, the outcome of which impacts patients and clients.
Project Specialists address SOP modifications and creating new SOPs. They will follow a process to update/create, get necessary approvals, test, publish and communicate the updates.
Responsibilities:
Analytical skills demonstrated by ability to find trends and abnormalities in their environment
Detail oriented to identify and communicate issues that could negatively impact current and downstream processes with appropriate parties as well as to maintain integrity and quality of the outputs from assigned processes.
Composing email communications to various levels of colleagues in a clear and professional manner, providing process updates and alerts of potential process issues.
Adaptability: feel comfortable with a changing environment such as changing duties, priorities and SOPs
Maintain SOPs and provide input for improvements to the overall process. Publish, Archive, and back up all documents maintained for retention purposes.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree preferred
- Minimum of three (3) years of relevant experience required; preferably in a project or process-oriented role within healthcare environment
- VERY proficient in Excel is strongly preferred (Intermediate level and above; specifically with Macros, etc). Pivot tables, charts & graphs are the primary means of communicating project updates.
- Labcorp RCM experience (preferred): The bulk of project support occurs within RCM, having familiarity with the tools and training in these areas will aid in communication of trends as they arise.

Pay Range: $16.80- 28.85/hr (State minimum wages apply if higher)
Shift: Monday-Friday; 8:00am-5:00pm EST
