Position Overview
This role will start as part-time, 25 hours per week, and lead into a full-time position.
The Logistics Operator/Material Handler is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the efficient and timely movement of goods and materials within the company’s supply chain. This role involves managing the movement of products from suppliers to customers, ensuring timely delivery, and optimizing logistics processes. The Logistics Operator/Material Handler will work closely with other departments, including inventory management, shipping, and receiving, to ensure smooth operations.
Responsibilities
- Monitor stock levels and track inventory movements.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accuracy.
- Plan and schedule deliveries, track shipments.
- Identify any defects or deviations from quality standards and initiate corrective actions.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and tests.
- Maintain accurate records of shipments and inventory.
- Ensure adherence to safety regulations and proper handling of goods.
- Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work environment.
- Safely operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material-handling equipment.
- Other duties within the scope of the position may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications
- Forklift License is required
- Open to international travel
- Knowledge of Database Management software and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with quality control processes, tools, and techniques
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot potential issues
- Frequently lift and carry materials up to 50 lbs.
