Responsibilities
Job Summary
The Cash Applications Representative performs manual and electronic payment posting activities within the patient accounting systems for insurance and patient balances. Ensures that all payments and adjustments have been balanced to the documentation provided by the payer. Coordinates with the AR team and other departments to obtain the appropriate payment information and ensures that all transactions are reflected accurately and in a timely manner.
- Performs payment posting, research and resolve payment discrepancies, obtains necessary documentation for posting activities
- Attends department and payer meetings as needed to resolve issues, coordinates with AR, accounting and finance teams as needed, obtains ongoing education to maintain awareness of payer, system, and department related updates.
